don’t burn books, please

hey yo. our group have chosen a new book for pleasure reading. it’s called “Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradbury. I think our group have a thing about choosing sad books because the previous one was about death and this one is about the future in a country with a totalitarian regime where everyone hates books which is awful. like can you imagine if we were there?

I’ve never really wanted to read this book and in my school everyone was talking about how great it was and I never listened to them. But here I am, reading this book in English.

I like it except for the fact that nothing really happens there, everything is so so so so slow, and I’m like: “can something happen, please?” At first it was difficult for me to stay focused when the author writes 3 pages about how good the weather was. despite that I’m really excited what is going to happen with the main character and his life next.

here are some new words:

odious extremely unpleasant and causing or deserving hate

simple-minded unable to deal with complicated matters

to babble to talk or say something in a quick, confused, excited, or silly way

thank you,

anita
