why we missed our spanish class
hello. on friday we went to the Opera House, where we watched some documentary movies about WWII. well, that is rather a hard topic to talk about so i’ll make it short.
the first movie we watched was about the Nuremberg trials that happened after the war. the information was quite new to me as i’d heard only vaguely about it. the author of the film is Zvyagintsev Alexander Grigorievic who was present and watched it with us. then he made a speech about why this topic interested him and we learned that he had been engaged in it basically his whole life. that was a fascinating fact because imagine finding something you are so interested in that you carry it through your whole life. i can never relate to that.
i don’t think the film showed us what actually happened during the trials (as it is impossible to do so without exaggeration) but still we got a clear image of those times.
of course, we still remember and never be able to forget about the cruelty and unfairness that happened during WWII. there will be a lot of new films, books, facts about it as it was something that had influenced everyone who lived on this planet.
thank you,
anita
